Charging problems are among the most common issues we see — and many have simple causes. Start with the basics: try a different cable and plug, and check whether the port has lint or debris packed inside.
If the cable only charges at certain angles, the port's connector pins may be worn or damaged. Wireless charging still working while wired charging fails is another clue the port itself needs attention.
Software can play a role too. A forced restart clears temporary glitches. If the phone overheats while charging, stop using it and get it checked — heat plus charging can indicate a failing battery.
